Exchanges

Hello,

It was good hearing from all those who emailed me. First of all I want to wish my Grandpa Wilford Jones a happy 83rd birthday! Congrats! But otherwise I hope whoever is reading this is doing well.

This past week was great. Went on exchanges 3 days in a row so I got to see what other areas are like here in the city of Tacoma. Got the same thing this week so after emailing Ill go to a different area for a night. We also had a missionary fireside in which 3 zones in the mission got together and we sang and then some recent converts got to bear their testimonies.

Blaine, the man Elder Turley and I taught was asked to give his testimony on his conversion. Ahhhh that was so awesome to see how we actually have changed his life. It was one of the more peaceful and spiritually testimonies. He did a great job. We are super happy for him. The other recent converts also had great testimonies.

We share the Lincoln ward with sisters as well and every transfer we take pictures and give them to the ward to put up in their home and the picture's theme was pretty much Alma 26:29. Talking about preaching in the streets and in the home of the Lamanites("Lincolnites" lol). Yeah no baptisms expected this week, but we are working hard to get those "tisms." The field is still very white and ready to be harvested.

Love you and good luck out there.

55 Miles

Hope you all had a lovely week!

My week was definitely on the slower side, but it was good none the less. Meeting people on the street is such a great way to talk with people. Unfortunately, some people decided they no longer wanted to talk with us, but then we find more people to teach. The Lord is looking out for us.

So I bought an odometer for my bike last Monday... since then we have biked 55 miles. 55 miles x 104 weeks= I'm glad most areas have cars.

Also, I fell off my bike two days in a row. LOL--funny moments and I'm perfectly fine. I'll attach a pic of the damage to my bike (Which still works mom). But not too much else has happened really. just keep knocking and we find people to teach.

Love you all.

All is well in Tacoma!

My collection
Bowling for P-Day
Elder Turley's collection
The bag the man we live with gave us.
So we live with a member. Straight up just share his house. He's such a great guy. He saw us counting our coins and he said he had collected all of his change for the past ten years. He brought down some of his quarters.... 75 pounds of it.... he has more quarters, dimes, nickles, and pennies... ah funny guy.

Hey hey,

Another great week. Nothing too crazy, but we have some more people on date to be baptized on the 20th. We will see how they progress, but they are super solid people. One is an older black guy and one is just a freshman in high school. The old guy is really humble and understands that God will give knowledge to those who seek it and receive it, so he was not rude.

Man,there are so many people that I have just seen why I need to be here. But actually opening your mouth to people is still hard sometimes. yeah not too much to say its just been missionary work... Got some good pictures this week though so that's good! Sorry for the short one but I'll type more with the pictures.

Almost forgot... weekly scripture is D&C 84:88

Love you all!

Hello Everyone,

Another great week in the mission field. We saw many miracles with meeting new people and my first baptism with Blaine!! Aw that was such a great experience. President and Sister Blatter actually showed up so that was kinda scary, but they are such nice people it was awesome. It was an awesome experience and Blaine is just an awesome guy. I heard that some pictures got on facebook and shared around, but I'll put some in the email too. Um so much to talk about its hard to talk about it haha. We have just meet some cool people this week. Some teens and a few adults.

One guy is working towards baptism on the 20th. Kinda far away, and we have only had one lesson, but that was also spiritual. Knocking doors everyday has gotten way easier. I still am not used to it, and cant really do it as well as my companion, but I'm getting better.

Plus I am finding out how important it is to knock in order to find people to teach. We knock into people who are almost ready for the gospel and its just like ohhh so close, and then there are others who just cuss us out and its like okay, maybe next time. My Zone is so great. The AP's are actually my trainer's trainers. And their trainers were both AP's. Got some good ancestry right there. We all play b-ball on Monday for 3 hours. That's fun, I stink, but it's fun! Went to Bass Pro Shop for P-day also so that was fun. Also got a haircut from an Elder I split/knock with a lot. Funny guy from Oklahoma. Yeah but doing great.

Keep up the good work whatever you are doing.
